At The Ranch, we are passionate about breeding and training our poodle puppies to develop the best temperaments and most trainable brains possible! Research shows that the first 12 weeks of a puppy’s life are crucial for establishing good patterns of behavior and health. Early neurological stimulation and certain socialization practices will shape a puppy for the rest of it’s life. To ensure that our puppies have the best foundation physically and mentally, we follow the Puppy Culture protocol.
Following Puppy Culture is a demanding daily endeavor, but we feel that it is our privilege to spend that time working with our puppies, because we know the amazing difference that this early work makes! It will greatly increase the puppies’ chances for having a great life. Following Puppy Culture generally eliminates the traits that could cause puppy owners to eventually re-home their pets. Scarlett Rose Ranch puppies will go to their forever homes FAR ahead, neurologically, than the average standard poodle puppy. They will be healthy, temperamentally sound, greatly socialized with animals, children, novelty and travel experiences, they will understand basic concepts of clicker training, and they will be well on their way to being crate and house-trained. If that were not enough, we wean the puppies to a raw food diet, because studies show that you can positively affect puppies’ microbiome with a diverse diet in the first weeks of life. Those colonies will enhance their health and, yes, possibly their behavior–REGARDLESS what diet they eat later! We understand that most pet owners feed kibble, and that is fine! Our goal is, that by feeding the puppies a raw diet for those first weeks, we will ensure that they get most nutrition possible for the rest of their lives.
As you see, we understand the huge responsibility that we have to provide our puppies everything they need in the weeks that we have them. Since we have a small, select breeding program, we can confidently say that we are producing exquisite, top-tier poodles! In fact, we do something that most breeders do not do–we health test every puppy to ensure that they are genetically clear of disease. It is important to us that our puppy owners have the security of knowing their puppy is healthy.
Of course, all our dams and sires are registered AKC, and all puppies go home with a pre-paid limited AKC registration. Our puppies also will be wormed and vaccinated, and they come with a two year genetic health guarantee.
